Once more, Oxfam, Agir Ici and Amnesty International have chosen music as a medium to help raise awareness of the Make Poverty History and Control Arms campaigns. Tour organiser: Luzia Laffoux

The tour offered a mix of cultures with a Franco-South American flavour to it, thanks to the presence of three hot DJs from Brazil and France. Oscar Bueno and Magal have come to the UK as part of an international tour together with Dj Each, French UK based. Oscar Bueno is a widely known DJ in Brazil, especially in Sao Paulo since as long as the 80s. Each is considered to be one of France’s most promising newcomers with his first Ep “Upside Down” released on his very own label Baystreet Recordings, on the 9th July 2005. Finally, Magal, elected best electro DJ in 2004 by DJ Sound Magazine Brazil, took European dance floors by storm. They are not household names here yet, but they enjoy laurent garnier-levels of popularity in the burgeoning Brazilian underground dance scene.

Dj Each has previously done two tours off Brazil, supporting the Control Arms Campaign. After the first and second tours, September 2004 and last January (coinciding with the World Social Forum), many Brazilian artists, has shown their support for the Control Arms Campaign.

Dj Magal
A big thanks to the three Djs who left their partners and other commitments in life to dedicate their time for the campaigns, especially Magal whose wife, Marcia, was on the 7th month of pregnancy by the beginning of the tour. Gabriela was born on 4/09/05.
